This Is The Second Time Pastor Adeboye Is Speaking About His Death, See What He Said

‘I’ll Die on a Sunday After Church Service’ – Pastor Adeboye

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has once again spoken about a vision he had regarding his death. According to Pastor Adeboye, when his time comes, he will pass away peacefully on a Sunday after attending church and enjoying his favorite meal, pounded yam.

Speaking at the church’s ongoing International Convention, themed “The Overcomers,” Pastor Adeboye reiterated that death doesn’t always come after a prolonged illness. He had previously shared this same vision two years ago and repeated it to reassure believers that death can be peaceful for those “in Christ.”

“I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” he declared, emphasizing that his departure would be sudden and painless.

Earlier in March, Pastor Adeboye recounted his near-death experience from seven years ago. Speaking at the March edition of the Special Holy Ghost Service, themed “Joy Unspeakable” at the church’s auditorium in Simawa, Ogun State, the 83-year-old clergyman revealed the incident took place in Ilesa, Osun State, during the “Let’s Go A-Fishing” program.

A Helicopter Rescue and the Test of Faith

According to Adeboye, his health deteriorated significantly due to the severe body aches he suffered from traveling on poor road conditions. He said, “Seven years ago, on the third day of the Let’s Go A-Fishing programme, because the roads were in terrible condition, my body could no longer take it. It completely broke down.”

The pastor described the experience as a profound challenge, noting that he spent Christmas in bed for the first time in his life. He felt the devil was “sure he had gotten me at last.” To get him back to the church camp from Ilesha, they had to charter a helicopter. Adeboye believed that he would have died if he had attempted the journey by road.

Even the helicopter trip was not without its challenges. “Some area boys decided the helicopter would not take off,” he explained. They clung to the aircraft until one of the windows was torn, but he ultimately made it to the camp. He had a strong conviction that if he could just reach the camp, he would recover.

He concluded his testimony by saying, “Well, seven years later, I’m still here,” a testament to his faith and recovery.
