Regional police have detained Daniel Tuffuor for interrogation in connection with the murder of a Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) final-year biological science student.

After a thorough examination of CCTV footage on the university campus, he was arrested.

“The clothing worn during the crime was discovered in the custody of the suspect, who was identified as a fellow student living in the same dorm as the deceased and has since been recovered as evidence.” KNUST authorities said in a statement.

As police continue their investigation into the incident, university officials have urged students and community members to maintain their composure.
