Seth Terkper, a former finance minister, has been named Ghana’s Presidential Advisor on the Economy, tasked with giving the president strategic advice on important economic issues. Ghana is facing serious economic challenges, including growing inflation, worries about public debt, and currency depreciation, at the time of this appointment. Under the administration of John Mahama, he will work closely with Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, the Finance Minister-designate.
Seth Terkper brings a wealth of relevant experience to this advisory role, having served as Finance Minister from 2013 to 2017.
