Reggie Zippy Publicly Accuses Ex-Wife of ‘Torture’

Ghanaian artist Reggie Zippy, who lives in the UK, has resorted to social media to vent his annoyance at his ex-wife Edith Ward, whom he claims is subjecting them to constant “torture” over their kids. The musician bemoaned the challenges he confronts in repairing his tense relationship with his children after their divorce in an emotive Facebook post. Reggie Zippy stated, “Perhaps her wonderful mother, step-sister, and aunties will have the guts to tell her to stop turning my children against me—despite every effort I’ve made to make things right after our divorce—when I speak Twi or any other Ghanaian language.”

He says that in spite of his efforts to make amends and be a constructive influence, he has run across opposition, which has resulted in “parental alienation” and “character assassination.” “Feel free to mock and vilify me. At least I spoke the truth of my reality before my last breath. It gets to a point where a man has no other choice but to speak his truth before dying in silence due to parental alienation and character assassination,” he shared, implying he felt silenced for too long.

Reggie Zippy emphasized that while he is at peace with his own life, the continual sabotage of his relationship with his children has left him feeling helpless. “I am alright with my own life, but the continual sabotage of my children’s love for me—despite all efforts to salvage and protect the peace and calm—seems to always blow up in my face,” he confessed.

The musician also expressed concern that false narratives would be spread about him after his death. “The lies and fabrications that would be spewed against me when I am gone make me want to tell my own story and history before it’s too late—because I don’t have anyone to publicly defend my name apart from Sally Mann and some of my immediate relatives,” he stated.
