Amidst widespread reports alleging that Nigerian politician and husband of actress Regina Daniels, Prince Ned Nwoko, is planning to take actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife, coupled with claims that they have a newborn child, the politician has publicly refuted the rumors.
In a press statement issued and signed by his Director of Communications on February 17, 2025, Prince Ned Nwoko firmly denied the claims, stating that he has no intention of marrying Chika Ike.
He emphasized that the reports circulating on social media are baseless and stem from malicious speculation intended to damage his reputation.
“Recent bogus rumors that Nollywood actress Chika Ike is pregnant and that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko intends to make her his seventh wife have caught our notice. We firmly assert that these allegations are wholly unfounded and the result of nefarious conjecture,” the statement says.
2Face And Annie Macaulay-Idibia
Prince Ned Nwoko also addressed rumors regarding his purported stance on musician 2Face’s decision to dissolve his marriage with his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia.
“Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about 2Face and polygamy are completely untrue. As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories.
“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumours and rely only on official statements from his office,” he added.
The rumors initially surfaced after Nigerian actress Chika Ike announced her first childbirth at the age of 39 on social media.

She posted a series of maternity photos on Instagram with the caption, “Life Lately.”
Following her announcement, social media users began speculating about a possible connection between Chika Ike’s pregnancy and Prince Ned Nwoko, leading to the spread of the unfounded rumors.
The speculation intensified when actress Regina Daniels, Ned Nwoko’s wife, deactivated her Instagram account, prompting further speculation that she was struggling to accept the rumored addition of a new wife or could no longer endure the public ridicule on social media.
