Leaked Sex Video: I Got Depressed – Serwaa Amihere

Serwaa Amihere, a media figure, has openly talked about the intense emotional toll that her leaked sex tape took on her, stating that she suffered from acute depression as a result.
In an open moment, Serwaa said that she isolated herself as a result of her sadness. She described how she got through one of the most trying times in her life thanks to a kind act from her close friend Auntie Obuobia Darko-Opoku.

“I was crying and feeling down at home that day,” Serwaa said. “Then she arrived and suggested that we go grab some ice cream. She came to get me, but I was chatting to no one. I recall attempting to put on a cap when she took me to Osu. She asked, ‘Why? Why do you want to hide your face? Let’s go.’ She bought me a big cup of ice cream and said, ‘Today, eat all the ice cream you can.’”
This simple act of kindness had a profound effect on Serwaa. She expressed her deep appreciation for Obuobia’s unwavering support during that difficult time.
“And she said she would take me out for lunch the next day. Somehow, we both ended up canceling. But Auntie Obuobia, thank you because I never told you how grateful I was for that ride. It did me a lot of good,” she said.
Serwaa continued by praising Obuobia’s consistent support, describing her as “an amazing person.” She acknowledged her friend’s constant presence and advice, adding, “I don’t think I need to say much. You all here know how amazing and supportive she is. She supports me and my sister and is always advising me. So thank you. I love you very much.”
Serwaa shared these heartfelt sentiments during the Ignite Youth Empowerment Thanksgiving Service, which was organized by Obuobia Darko-Opoku.
Background
Earlier in April, a viral circulation of a video depicting Serwaa Amihere in a private setting with Henry Fitz, surfaced on social media. Reports indicated that prior to the video’s release, Serwaa Amihere was subjected to blackmail attempts, prompting demands for financial compensation to prevent the dissemination of compromising content.
Following threats and demands for payment, Serwaa Amihere reported the incidents to the police. Surveillance efforts led to the arrest of the first accused, Edem Saviour Ketti, at a hideout in Dzorwulu. Subsequent investigations revealed that the mobile money account used for extortion was registered in Edem Saviour Ketti’s name, linking him to the criminal activity.
Despite the partial payment made by Serwaa Amihere in response to the threats, the accused parties proceeded with the publication of the video. Efforts are currently underway to locate Henry Fitz, who remains at large. The Ghana Police Service continues its investigation into the matter to ensure all involved individuals are held accountable for their actions.
Three people including Henry Amponsah, also known as Henry Fitz, Candylove Kwakyewaa Ababio, and Edem Saviour Ketti were sued by the Ghana Police Service for allegedly releasing the private video. However, a circuit court subsequently dismissed the case against the trio.
