Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty has declared her plan to take legal action against anyone who make fun of her online and try to damage her reputation for their own benefit.
Since the funeral of her mother, Empress Gifty has found herself at the center of social media discussions. She first threatened legal action against internet users, especially bloggers, who chastised her for going to her mother’s grave to sprinkle powder—an action that some saw as attention-seeking.
During her appearance on United Showbiz, she issued a stern warning to anyone using her name to chase clout, vowing to take action against them.
Empress Gifty recently returned to social media with fresh threats of legal action against individuals who were criticizing her new look after making news for having a facial cosmetic treatment. She responded to remarks that her new appearance looked worse without makeup in a video that has gone viral online.
“No makeup, of course, I am not wearing makeup. I will be taking legal action against those tarnishing my hard-earned reputation. I will issue a lawsuit against some people next week. In this year 2025, I will start making use of the law, and you people will start respecting the brand ‘Empress.’ I will make good use of the law. So those who are fond of talking about me should continue,” she stated in the widely shared video.
She further added, “You will be remorseful when my lawyers serve you. Right now, I am an orphan, so I won’t talk much.”
