Ernest Nuamah Scores 1 Goal & 1 Assist To Win Over Montpellier

Ghanaian international Ernest Nuamah put on an impressive display, scoring one goal and providing an assist, as Olympique Lyon secured a commanding 4-1 victory over Montpellier in their Ligue 1 clash on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Ernest Nuamah, who played the full match, was a key player in Lyon’s convincing triumph at the Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98.
Lyon took an early lead when Georges Mikautadze from Georgia found the back of the net in the 3rd minute, assisted by Rayan Cherki. Montpellier fought back and equalized in the 38th minute with a goal from Tanguy Coulibaly, bringing the score level before halftime.

The second half belonged to Lyon, with Nuamah leading the charge. He ignited the offensive onslaught with a well-taken goal in the 50th minute, followed by an assist just three minutes later, setting up Corentin Tolisso for Lyon’s third goal.
Alexandre Lacazette, the experienced forward, added the final touch in the 73rd minute, securing the emphatic win and the three points for Lyon.
This performance brings Nuamah’s Ligue 1 goal tally to two in 16 appearances for Lyon this season. Across all competitions, the 21-year-old has now recorded three goals and one assist in 24 games.
