Castro Is Not The Father Of My Son – Mzbell

In response to ongoing speculation regarding the paternity of her son Aaron Adepa Amoah, Ghanaian music legend Mzbel has adamantly denied that the late artist Castro, who vanished in 2014, is the child’s father.
In an interview with Max TV earlier this year, Mzbel denied the accusations that sparked the incident. The last time she saw Castro, she explained, was in 2013, when they worked together with other Ghanaian musicians on a song that was a tribute to the late Ronnie Coaches of Buk Bak. Mzbel stressed that Adepa was born years after she had lost friendship with Castro and other peers.
“The last time I saw Castro was when Ronnie Coaches died, and we got together to record a tribute song. I never saw him again. I gave birth to Adepa six years after my friendship with Castro and other colleagues ended. Castro was alive when Adepa was born,” she stated.
The ’16 Years’ hitmaker expressed confusion over the public’s speculation and questioned the obsession with her personal life, stating, “Why is it by force that they want to know the father of my child, all the people I know who put their relationships out on social media, it never went well for them.” Mzbel stressed that her son’s biological father is a private matter and is not for public consumption. She revealed that Aaron Adepa Amoah, also known as Komfo Black, knows his father and maintains a healthy relationship with him. Mzbel has no intention of publicly disclosing his identity.
Background on Castro
Castro, born Theophilus Tagoe in Takoradi in 1982, was a popular Ghanaian musician. He started singing at a young age and rose to prominence with his 2003 hit song “Sradenam.” He collaborated with the hip-life group 4×4 and formed a close friendship with Ghana national football team’s captain, Asamoah Gyan, with whom he recorded several albums. Castro was known for his dream of becoming a producer to help up-and-coming artists. On July 6, 2014, Castro and Miss Janet Bandu disappeared in Ada Estuary following a jet ski accident. Their bodies have never been recovered despite extensive searches.
