Bongo Ideas Issues Public Apology to Kojo Forex Following Court Ruling

Social media butterfly Albert Nathaniel Hyde, known as Bongo Ideas, has issued a full and unconditional public apology to Bright Kojo Onipayede (Kojo Forex) following a defamation ruling by an Accra High Court.
The court’s judgment, delivered on February 22, 2025, found Bongo Ideas liable for damages and required a public apology to Kojo Forex. The court ordered Bongo Ideas to pay a total of GHC170,000.00 in damages.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Bongo Ideas stated that the apology was made in compliance with the court order. He retracted several statements he made on social media about Kojo Forex, statements the plaintiff argued had harmed his reputation and forex trading business.
Bongo Ideas’ statement specifically acknowledged the following:
“On February 28, 2023, March 30, 2023, and April 18, 2023, I made certain statements on my Twitter account (@BongoIdeas) that were defamatory towards Kojo Forex (the Plaintiff). I acknowledge that my previous statements were false, defamatory, and without any factual basis. I regret having made these statements, as they have negatively impacted the reputation of Kojo Forex and his business endeavors. In accordance with the judgment of the Accra High Court, I hereby retract the aforementioned statements and publicly apologize to Kojo Forex for my actions. I deeply regret any damage to his reputation and business that my words may have caused.”
He further acknowledged the court’s permanent injunction preventing him from publishing similar defamatory statements about Kojo Forex and pledged to fully comply with this order.
Bongo Ideas stated that he has learned from this experience and will exercise greater responsibility in his future public statements. He concluded by apologizing to everyone affected by his actions, adding, “This apology is made in full accordance with the judgment of the Accra High Court, dated 25/02/2025, and is offered unconditionally and without reservation.”
