The Black Stars players have started arriving in Ghana ahead of their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar. The team is set to assemble in Accra today, Monday, March 17, 2025, and will train for four days before hosting Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, March 21, 2025 ¹ ².
The Black Stars will then travel to Morocco to face Madagascar in another Group I match on Monday, March 24, 2025.

Meanwhile, key players returning to the squad include Inaki Williams, Thomas Partey, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Mohammed Salisu.
Two of the team’s training sessions on Monday and Tuesday will be open to the public, giving fans a chance to catch a glimpse of their favorite players in action. The team will then travel to Morocco to face Madagascar in another Group I match on Monday, March 24, 2025 ¹ ².
Head coach Otto Addo has announced a 23-man squad for the qualifiers, which includes key players like Thomas Partey, Inaki Williams, and Kamaldeen Sulemana. The squad also features three home-based players: Benjamin Asare of Hearts of Oak, Kamaradini Mamudu from Medeama SC, and Razak Simpson of Nations FC ¹ ³.
Three local players were included: Nations FC defender Razak Simpson, Medeama’s Karadini Mamudu, and Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare.
Meanwhile, key players which include Alidu Seidu, Tariq Lamptey, Abdul Mumin, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Daniel Kofi Kyereh, Majeed Ashimeru, and Joseph Painstil are all on the Black Stars injured list.
Ghana U-20 star Jerry Afriyie retained his spot in the squad following an impressive debut in November 2024.
World Cup 2026 Qualifies
The Black Stars will face Chad in Accra on Friday, March 21, before travelling to Morocco to take on Madagascar on March 24, 2025.
Ghana is currently second in Group I with nine points from four matches, level with Comoros. The Black Stars will be looking to redeem themselves after failing to win a single game in the AFCON qualifying series ⁴.
