Apostle Solomon Oduro Announces Divorce From Charlotte Oduro

The Royal Victory Family Church’s General Overseer, Apostle Solomon Oduro, has formally declared the dissolution of his marriage to Rev. Charlotte Oduro.

The pair has apparently been split up for the past three years, especially Rev. Charlotte Oduro, who is well-known for her numerous appearances on media platforms talking about relationship problems.

In an official press release, Apostle Solomon Oduro stated that their traditional marriage had been formally dissolved last year. Despite multiple attempts to save the marriage, he blamed their breakup on irreconcilable differences.

According to Apostle Oduro, the divorce was decided upon following much deliberation, prayer, and thought. He asked for prayers to help him and his ex-wife get through this trying time.

“At this juncture, Apostle Oduro earnestly calls upon his loved ones, well-wishers, and the body of Christ to uphold both himself and Rev. Charlotte Oduro in prayer. He remains steadfast in his commitment to his divine calling and the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ,” the statement read.

Rev. Charlotte Oduro has yet to comment on the announcement.

Background

In 2021, Apostle Solomon Oduro revealed that Rev. Charlotte Oduro had sought a divorce early in their marriage. He also praised her subsequent growth and her use of her experiences to build stronger marriages.

In an interview with ZionFlex, the founder of the Royal Victory Family Chapel International discussed Rev. Charlotte Oduro’s outspoken nature and her public statements regarding marital issues.

“Apart from the calling on her life, the experience is best. Before, she did not respect me, and she was being influenced by my own colleague pastors. And she wasn’t ready to submit as a woman. And also, she didn’t know who she was,” he stated.

He added, “If you are a man and a woman doesn’t respect or appreciate you, it hurts. She wanted a divorce on so many occasions, but I told her, no, I won’t leave you.”

When asked why he had refused to grant her a divorce, the clergyman explained that he had vowed to be intimately involved with only one woman in his lifetime.

He said, “My spirit doesn’t like divorce, and I know how divorce is. And I have told myself that I would only marry and live with one woman. So my whole life I have known only one woman. Even if she still goes ahead to divorce me, I prefer to be alone and focus on the work of God. And these principles helped me to pursue her all the time.”

Apostle Solomon Oduro had acknowledged the value of the challenges they had faced early in their marriage, expressing his belief that their marital testimony would inspire others to remain committed to their vows. “God gave us the grace to pass the test so that another brother would be inspired by our testimony,” he said.
